On July 25, 2017. Michael McCorkle was sworn into office as the Constable for Ellis County Constable, Precinct 3. Constable McCorkle holds a Master Peace Officer certificate with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Tarleton State University and is a graduate of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration.
Constable McCorkle began his career in 2000 with the Cedar Hill Police Department where he served in numerous roles such as patrol, community services unit, and the canine unit. In 2011, Constable McCorkle was hired and assigned to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit. He has held a leadership role at both departments where he worked to build relationships with area law enforcement agencies and the community.
This office provides security for Justice of the Peace Court and issuance of civil process paperwork for various judicial systems. Additionally, the office provides ethical, professional, and competent police services.
Assisting Constable McCorkle in providing services to the citizens of Ellis County is Deputy Constable Adrian Saldana. Deputy Constable Saldana has over 20 years of law enforcement experience.
