Current Road Closures due to High Water or Construction as of May 18, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
Ellis County Precinct 1 will have emergency construction on Hunsucker Rd. due to a bridge that washed out. We will close Hunsucker Rd at address 1629 on the west side, and closure of road at address 1440 on east side of Hunsucker road. Effective starting Monday, May 13, 2019,-until further notice. This segment of road will be temporarily closed to all thru traffic. Residents can detour and turn around at Cynthia road on the east side of bridge, there is no turn around on the west side of Hunsucker please adjust your routes accordingly.
Safety is our First Priority. Please help us provide the safest possible work zones for you and our road crew by limiting travel on this road during emergency construction.

Old Brandon Rd. in Milford has a tree down over the road.
Old Waxahachie Rd – from Clemmons Rd to Old Boyce Rd until further notice
Sandswitch Rd – at the RR tracks. Closed until further notice.
Long Branch Cir and Griffith in Ennis has a tree across the road
Laza Rd. in Alma has a tree across the road.
Auburn Cemetery Rd. at the bridge is closed until further notice.
Bells Chapel Rd. in Waxahachie has a tree across the road.
FM1181 in Ennis 1 mile from Cutoff Rd has three trees down.
FM1182 and Barker Rd. in Alma has tree limbs and a trampoline in the roadway.
If you know of roads that have High Water over it and there are no barriers across the road please notify the Sheriff's Office or Emergency Management Office or your Road and Bridge Precinct Office. Do not attempt to cross a road that has high water over it. STAY SAFE AND TURN AROUND!
