[ARCHIVED] Declaration of Disaster

The sale of fireworks identified as “skyrockets with sticks” or “missiles with fins” is prohibited within the unincorporated area of Ellis County. The sale of all other types of fireworks within the unincorporated area of Ellis County is not prohibited.
However, NO fireworks of any kind can be used – lighted, discharged, ignited – within the unincorporated area of Ellis County.
(This notice applies solely to the unincorporated areas of Ellis County. Each city within Ellis County has the sole discretion to determine the restrictions and prohibitions that apply within its city limits. Contact your city offices or local fire or police department with questions about whether or not you can use or buy fireworks inside city limits.)
