[ARCHIVED] Ellis County Commissioners Court Declares October 6-12, 2013 as "National 4-H Week"

Ellis County Commissioners declared October 6-12, 2013 as “National 4-H Week” at the County Commissioners Court meeting on September 23. National 4-H Week is a celebration of the values of 4-H Club, which is a youth organization administered by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), with the mission of "engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development." The four Hs in 4-H are Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. Directed by the 4-H values members work on establishing fun and engaging programs that encourage managing, thinking, caring, giving, working, and living.
