At approximately 12:00 pm (CST) today there was an incident at Pennco Inc. located near Bardwell, Texas. A fire had been reported at the facility, and employees at the site were immediately evacuated. First responders were able to extinguish the fire quickly, and no injuries have been reported at this time. Emergency response organizations are actively monitoring the situation. The Ellis County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality are conducting an investigation of today’s incident.
