[ARCHIVED] FM 878 Project Improvements Currently Underway

WAXAHACHIE – Work is kicking off on the rehabilitation and repair of three Farm-to-Market (FM) roads in Waxahachie.

FM 878 from US 77 to US 287: full-depth pavement repair and mill and overlay. Three-foot shoulders will be added to the portion from Ennis Street to US 287.
FM 813 from FM 878 to US 287: Mill and overlay on the asphalt portions of the roadway.
FM 664 from Business 287 to US 287: Addition of three-foot shoulders to both sides and rehabilitation of the pavement.

The shoulder additions are part of TxDOT’s efforts to enhance the safety aspects along older roadways. In addition to the shoulders being added, driveway culverts will be upgraded using safety end treatments where needed.

Big Creek Construction, LTD is the contractor on the $6.9 million project.
