“125 Recovered Cases of COVID-19 in Ellis County”

May 3, 2020 - The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has notified the Ellis County Local Health Authority of three additional confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 and three new recoveries in Ellis County. This increases the countywide total to 187 cases of COVID-19, including 125 recoveries.

 These three additional cases of COVID-19 include a 33 year-old resident of the City of Midlothian, and two residents, ages 60 and 66, of the same household in Waxahachie.

 Ellis County Emergency Management continues to urge residents to wear masks while in public, wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and to practice distancing where practicable. let it be clear that residents are free to stay home if they feel the need. Residents should avoid all gatherings where safe distancing practices are not achievable.
