Welcome to the Ellis County Purchasing Department

The Purchasing Department is a member of the Administrative Services Team of Ellis County. The County’s Purchasing Office exists to provide the best service possible to all County Departments in a fair and equitable manner and to protect the interests of the Ellis County Taxpayers in all expenditures. Included in this responsibility is assuring fair and equitable treatment to all vendors without regard to political pressure or discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, handicap, or sex.

Ellis County is excited about the changes we are making to streamline our electronic solicitation process and we look forward to continuing our good relationship with you and your company.  As always, we appreciate your interest in Ellis County.

Ellis County has partnered with Bonfire Interactive to create a new procurement portal that will allow you to receive notifications of procurement opportunities and submit bids and proposals to Ellis County digitally.

The link below will direct you to the registration and login page. This is a new host, so you must register through this portal. 

Registration is easy and free.  Please be sure to select at least one, or more NIGP codes for your business or organization.  The codes allow us to send you solicitations that are appropriate for your business. Click here to access: Bonfire

In an effort to provide the best possible procurement services for the citizens of Ellis County, Texas, an exchange of ideas and techniques related to purchasing, administration, and best practices is essential. Therefore, Ellis County holds certifications and membership with the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), the Texas Public Purchasing Association (TxPPA), National Procurement Institute (NPI), and the Public Purchasing Association of North Central Texas (PANCT).
