7/24 COVID-19 Update - "1,900+ Recoveries in Ellis County"

Ellis County reports on COVID-19 cases as they are distributed to the Local Health Authority from the Texas Health Trace (THT) platform. According to the case line list provided by THT for July 24th, there are 2,156 reported cases in Ellis County with a remainder of 198 active cases (193 confirmed and 5 probable). Today’s report includes an additional 1,937 recoveries of COVID-19. According to the Texas Department of State Health Services Dashboard, there have been 19,192 tests administered in Ellis County.

I am happy to highlight the increase in recoveries here in Ellis County. The numbers that are being reported are headed in the right direction and it is great to see so many citizens doing their part to ‘flatten the curve’. While recoveries are increasing, I want everyone to remember that we must continue to protect the health of our family, friends, neighbors, and those most vulnerable. The Ellis County Office of Emergency Management and local health professionals recommend residents practice physical distancing, sanitize frequently, and stay at home when necessary. Together we win.

Todd Little, Ellis County Judge & Emergency Management Director
