PUBLIC NOTICE OF COMMISSIONERS’ COURT MEETING FOR CONSIDERATION OF A TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN ELLIS COUNTY, TEXAS

The Commissioners’ Court of Ellis County, Texas (the "County"), following creation of Midlothian Technology Commercial-Industrial Tax Abatement Reinvestment Zone Number 15, in the Ellis County, Texas, will consider entering into a tax abatement agreement, as follows:

• The name of the property owner is Midlothian Economic Development and the applicant for the tax abatement agreement is Earth Root Holdings, LLC.
• The name of the reinvestment zone shall be Midlothian Technology Commercial-Industrial Tax Abatement Reinvestment Zone Number 15 and the location is of Lot 2, Block A, Midlothian Business Park, an addition to the City of Midlothian, Texas according to the plat recorded in Cabinet K, Slide 165 of the Plat Records of Ellis County, Texas, being 70.537 acres, generally located at the northwestern corner of State Highway 67 and Miller Road.
• The improvements to be included in the tax abatement agreement generally consist of an approximately 600,000 square foot building to be used primarily for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution and related improvements.
• The estimate costs of the improvements are $56,000,000.

Pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act (the “Act”), the County will consider approval of the tax abatement agreement at 2:00 p.m. on September 22, 2020 in the Second Floor Commissioners’ Courtroom at 101 West Main Street, Waxahachie, Texas.

This notice shall remain continuously posted for at least 30 days prior to the meeting and shall be posted in the same manner as required by the Act for a Commissioners’ Court meeting.
